| Apply for Financial Aid |
This WGU Financial Aid Application site is for individuals who have already applied for
admission to WGU. If you have not applied for admission, please do that first by clicking
on Apply for Admission Now. For more information
about the financial aid process at WGU, review the WGU Financial Aid Instructions in PDF.
Through this site you can complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) if you haven't already completed it. And you will complete the remaining financial aid steps. Here's a quick summary of the steps required:
1. Apply for a PIN (Personal Identification Number) with the Dept. of Education. (Needed to electronically "sign" the FAFSA and other documents.)
2. Complete the FAFSA online. (This is an official report of your personal family and financial situation. Confidentiality is carefully maintained.)
3. Complete the WGU Financial Aid Application (See below.)
4. Complete the Master Promissory Note (The legal document that binds you to repay any loans.)
5. Complete Loan Counseling (Required to make certain you understand repayment terms.)
6. Receive your Award Letter from WGU (Indicates the grants and loans for which you are eligible.)
Deadline Reminder:
Please keep in mind all steps in the financial aid application process must be completed and any required documents must be submitted to and approved by the Financial Aid office by the 25th of the month prior to your program start date. Failure to complete the process or submit the required documents will result in a delay in funding and may affect your start date.

"Opened doors…"
"WGU has opened doors for me that I would not have been able to access without an extreme inconvenience for my family, my career, and myself."
| Connie Keogh, WGU graduate |
"On my own time…"
"I chose WGU because of the freedom of doing the work on my own time and at my own pace. In the past, I had started master's programs twice through regular universities and found the class schedules impossible to fit into my schedule."
| Dennis Nalder, WGU graduate student |
"Speed their licensure…"
WGU Teachers College will be a boon to states seeking training for current teachers and paraprofessionals to help them meet the education requirements under the No Child Left Behind Act and speed their licensure."
