Corey Elliot is a Regional PR and Communications Manager residing in Greenwood, Indiana. He began his career as a news reporter for a daily newspaper in central Indiana and spent seven years covering collegiate sports, the NFL, and the NBA in Indianapolis. Elliot transitioned to public relations, where he gained experience working for an agency before serving as the press secretary at the office of the Indiana Attorney General. Building from his experience, he joined WGU in May 2019 as a communications manager in Indiana. As Regional PR and Communications Manager, Elliot leads communications strategies in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Western Pennsylvania. He is passionate about sharing WGU’s mission to create pathways to opportunity and expand access to higher education and telling inspiring student and alumni stories. Elliot earned a degree in journalism from Indiana University-Indianapolis. In his free time, Elliot enjoys spending time with his wife, Katy, his son, Clayton, and his daughter, Harper. He enjoys attending and watching collegiate and professional sporting events, attending concerts, and traveling.
