Kathy Koza is an accomplished strategic marketing and communications professional with a proven track record of driving organizational growth through PR, branding, campaigns, integrated marketing communications, and digital strategies. She has over three decades of expertise across various industries, including healthcare, higher education, software development, finance, government, and nonprofit, and she has successfully led teams and projects to deliver results. She is known for translating complex information into engaging, just-right content and identifying and executing opportunities that align with organizational strategies and priorities.

Having served as the PR and Communications Manager at WGU Texas since 2016, Kathy works across WGU communications to develop and execute brand-building strategic communication programs, develop content and messaging for news, social media, op-eds, blogs, thought leadership, newsletters, articles and WGU online presence, plan and execute PR campaigns and manage media relations.  

She has a long history of serving on committees and boards for city governments and non-profit organizations, using her community relations and outreach expertise to support policy, practices, and programs.

Kathy holds a master’s degree in marketing, digital marketing specialization, from WGU, a bachelor’s in liberal arts, marketing communications specialization, summa cum laude, from DePaul University and an associate’s in visual communication from Tarrant County College.
