As a respected and accomplished business communicator, Mark has 25 years of experience in higher education communications and public relations, focusing on developing communications strategies and tactics that position top-tier universities, institutions, and their leadership favorably among key external and internal stakeholders. As the PR & Communications Manager for WGU’s School of Education, Mark currently directs and implements its external communications strategy by identifying and executing opportunities (thought leadership, earned and owned media, industry conference involvement, partnerships with key policy stakeholders, marketing collaboration) that advances the school’s mission and strategic priorities. Prior to joining WGU, he held leadership positions in communications at a variety of higher education organizations, including Boston University, Education Management Corporation, Duquesne University, and Carnegie Mellon University.
