Dr. Patricia Cannistraci Is the Lead Academic Program Manager for the Prelicensure BSN Program for Michael O. Leavitt School of Health at Western Governors University.

In her role, Dr. Cannistraci supports the Prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program and creating enrollment opportunities focused on expanding access to individuals in need of pathways to nursing education. She received her BSN from Long Island University, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and Doctorate in Nursing Science (DNS) from the Sage Colleges, and holds a National League for Nursing (NLN) Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) certification. Her research focuses on student success, students who are veterans, interprofessional education, and people with disabilities.

Dr. Cannistraci has presented research related to inter-professional education in the online environment at American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and initiatives in coaching, curriculum, and culture change at the Council of College and Military Educators.
