In the WGU School of Education, we believe one of the best ways to address the national teacher shortage is to focus the lens on Educator Well-Being. We are working to systemically bolster educator well-being nationally through several key initiatives. These include our integrated, holistic Healthy Learning Initiative, our curriculum and program redesign to future-proof educator preparation, and our work with teacher pathways.

We embed our Healthy Learning pillars across curriculum, products, policies, and practices in a holistic approach to support our students. This equips our graduates to navigate complex and challenging professional and personal situations as effective and empowered educators and leaders within their profession and their communities based on the five pillars:
