How long have you been working at WGU Missouri? 15 months
What did you do before you started at WGU Missouri? Assistant Professor at Lincoln University
What was your proudest moment at WGU Missouri? Recently my mom was visiting with some distant relatives. When my mom told them I was working for WUG or WG something, they instantly started bragging about the WGU, and how impressive our university is. Turns out one was in the teacher’s college and the other in the nursing program. My mother instantly told them I was running the nursing department (only like a mother could hahaha). A proud parent, makes for a proud moment.
What is your favorite thing about working at WGU Missouri? EVERYTHING! I love the connection between staff, the flexibility in schedule, and being able to be present for my family.
What has surprised you most about working for WGU Missouri? The culture of love and building one another up. The positivity here is contagious.
What was your first job? My first job was a cashier at Schlotzky’s Deli when I was 15…my first job here was an evaluator on the PAC team.
What did you want to be when you were growing up? I did not start truly thinking about what I wanted to be until my senior year in high school. At that time, it was between teaching and nursing…Now I do both. Win/Win.
What is your favorite thing to do in your downtime? Run/walk outside on our farm.
If you could learn any skill instantly what would it be? Grammar. I think writing is a skill, currently I am at a 2nd grade level.
