This is the time of year where everyone makes new year’s resolutions and some of those people don’t follow through on those goals. But, not you. You are willing to go the distance to attain a higher education or learn new skills and WGU Nevada is prepared to help get you there.
The New Year Scholarship, worth up to $2,000 toward already-low tuition, is available to WGU Nevada students, undergraduate or graduate. To be eligible, you need to be accepted to WGU Nevada and submit a scholarship application by March 31, 2020. What will a degree mean to you? According to the United States Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, education pays: “Median weekly earnings in 2018 for those with the highest levels of educational attainment—doctoral and professional degrees—were more than triple those with the lowest level, less than a high school diploma. And workers with at least a bachelor’s degree earned more than the $932 median weekly earnings for all workers.”
So, why WGU Nevada when there is a wide assortment of higher education opportunities? We will let WGU Nevada Chancellor, Spencer Stewart explain why: “One of the many advantages of WGU Nevada is the ability for a student to go at his or her own pace, allowing each student to be one step closer to attaining their goals. The New Year Scholarship is an added incentive for students looking to go back to school in order to enter the careers they want.”
