We invite all attendees to show their generosity by bringing a donation to support two incredible local organizations: Feed the Need Northeast and the Dorothy Day Hospitality House. These nonprofits are dedicated to helping those in need across Connecticut. Your contribution will make a meaningful difference in the lives of many. Let’s come together and spread kindness at this event!

Feed the Need is a newly established nonprofit organization that addresses food insecurity throughout western and central Connecticut.

In Connecticut, close to 500,000 people experience food insecurity regularly. 1 in 6 children in the state has dealt with a lack of food over the past year, and in Waterbury alone, over 3,000 phone calls were made in the last year to the 211-helpline asking for help on where to find food.

Feed the Need Northeast grew from a local church group that made and distributed 300 PB&J sandwiches every month to a local homeless shelter on Sundays when most food pantries were closed. Each month, the sandwiches were gone within the day. Close to 8,000 sandwiches later, Feed the Need Northeast was born with the idea that even if one company per month decided to have a team-building event and spread some peanut butter love, the impact would be sizeable.

Our goal for the year is 10,000 lunches and 500 new advocates who know that a little education, engagement, and empathy go a long way. Our goal is to make a difference, one bite at a time.

Entirely run by volunteers, Dorothy Day Hospitality House in Danbury, CT, supports over 150 people daily, offering a safe space for those experiencing food insecurity and homelessness. Each year, they serve thousands in our community, ensuring no one is left without basic necessities.

Last year, a single volunteer could provide meals for over 200 families. This year, we hope to offer even more with travel-sized toiletries like soaps, shampoos, deodorants, and canned goods. These small but essential items make a big difference for those in need.

Dorothy Day has kindly requested donations of travel-sized toiletries to distribute to their guests. If you can contribute, your generosity will directly support individuals in need within our community. Every little bit helps!
