Five Tennesseans Travel to Salt Lake City to Walk in College Graduation
NASHVILLE – Five Tennesseans recently earned their degrees from WGU Tennessee and traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to receive their diplomas at the university’s summer commencement.

WGU Tennessee is an online, nonprofit university formed through a partnership between the state of Tennessee and nationally recognized Western Governors University. Graduates are welcome to attend any of the WGU commencements held around the country.
“Being part of WGU Tennessee’s commencement and watching our five graduates like accept their degrees all the way in Salt Lake City is a special experience for all of WGU Tennessee’s staff, students, and families,” said Kimberly K. Estep, chancellor of WGU Tennessee. “We are constantly impressed by each of our students and their hard work both in and outside of their WGU Tennessee program. Attending their commencement is a celebration of their accomplishments, and we are proud to be a part of this special moment.”
As of today, 4,180 students are enrolled in the university, which has conferred more than 4,000 degrees since launching. WGU Tennessee has students and graduates in all 95 counties.
