Kelly Houston to develop and grow online university’s partnerships in North Texas
AUSTIN — Online, nonprofit university WGU Texas has hired Kelly Houston as Strategic Partnerships Manager for its Fort Worth region.
Houston comes to WGU Texas with more than 15 years of higher education strategic partnership development experience. She supported Fortune 500 companies, corporate, K-12, community college, healthcare, and government markets. “Kelly’s expertise and shared passion for non-profit, competency-based education make her an excellent addition to the WGU Texas team,” said Michael Glazebrook, Manager, Strategic Partnerships. Houston will build, cultivate, and expand the university’s network and partners in Fort Worth and surrounding areas.
Prior to joining WGU Texas, Houston held multiple leadership positions for mission-driven organizations in higher-education. She established successful strategic long-term contract alliances with Fortune 500 organizations and managed enterprise level business development.
Houston holds an MBA and bachelor's in Business Administration and Leadership from Capella University and earned various certifications, including strategic selling, large account management process, and professional sales coaching.
