WGU Texas, Distance Learning Systems Sign Agreement to Accelerate Pathways to Four-year Degrees

The agreement will prepare DLSI graduates and employees for a successful transition to bachelor’s degree programs at online, competency-based university

AUSTIN – WGU Texas and Distance Learning Systems (DLSI) announced an agreement to support students seeking bachelor’s and master’s degrees. The agreement creates pathways for the DLSI graduates and employees to work toward a bachelor’s or master’s degree and further their education at WGU Texas.

“We are excited that WGU Texas is interested in continuing our students’ success,” said David K. Christy, COO, Distance Learning Systems. “This agreement creates a streamlined approach for DLSI graduates and employees to advance their personal and education goals.” 

Founded in 1999, DLSI offers a high quality, low-cost path to college credit in a flexible online learning environment with live interactive and recorded classes, providing customized education solutions that are an alternative to the rising cost and debt of education. Since 1999, over 20,000 individuals nationwide have enrolled in DLSI programs in pursuit of an accelerated path to earning a degree.

This is the first agreement between DLSI and WGU Texas and streamlines the process for DLS graduates and employees pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at WGU Texas. Through the agreement, DLSI graduates and employees are also eligible for

WGU Texas’ current enrollment is more than 13,700 students. Since its launch in 2011, more than 20,000 graduates have earned their bachelor’s or master’s degrees in teaching, business, IT, and healthcare, including nursing.
