Robert Sullivan Joins WGU as Senior Director of Alumni Engagement & Development
WGU welcomes experienced leader to enhance alumni engagement and development efforts
SALT LAKE CITY (OCTOBER 12, 2023) – Western Governors University (WGU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Sullivan as the Senior Director of Alumni Engagement & Development. With a proven track record in team building, marketing campaign development, and academic advancement, Robert brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Most recently, Robert served as the Vice President of Marketing at REDX in Orem, UT, where he played a pivotal role in overseeing the company's marketing initiatives, brand messaging, and media strategies. His expertise in marketing and strategic planning significantly contributed to the company's success.
Prior to his time at REDX, Robert served as the Alumni Relations Director at Brigham Young University, where he implemented innovative strategies that led to meaningful alumni engagement and the expansion of volunteer Alumni Chapters. His efforts resulted in increased engagement, better support for the institution, and more opportunities for alumni. Before that, Robert successfully executed similar initiatives at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

In his new role at WGU, Robert will lead efforts to strengthen the university's ability to find, persuade, and activate engaged alumni to participate in the mission of WGU across the entire student lifecycle, in support of the institution's mission to provide high-quality, accessible education to all students.
WGU's alumni network is a diverse and accomplished community. As of September 30, more than 342,500 alumni have successfully completed their journey at WGU.
