SALT LAKE CITY, UT, FEBRUARY 27, 2024 — Western Governors University (WGU) today unveiled its School of Business brand, which represents how students and graduates are equipped with the future-ready skills needed to make an immediate impact in the evolving workplace and business landscape.
The WGU School of Business collaborates across the corporate landscape to build industry-aligned programs and products in partnership with leaders like Google, Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the American Marketing Association (AMA). The School of Business is continuously launching new and expanded offerings to meet employer demands.
“From career placement and advancement opportunities to access to community and employer networks, our graduates leave the WGU School of Business prepared to make an immediate impact,” said Mitsu Frazier, senior vice president and executive dean for the WGU School of Business. “Our industry-aligned curriculum, programs and additional opportunities like project-based internships and industry-affiliated student organizations are designed to help our students learn at the speed of business.”
The WGU School of Business is committed to working with industry leaders as efforts are continuously made to adapt and develop curriculum that aligns with current workforce needs. This includes unique educational pathways designed to develop and nurture the specific skills that today’s businesses are seeking.

“Our goal is to gain further industry input to help shape future programs and curriculum within the WGU School of Business, which will eventually contribute to local workforces and the economy,” Frazier said.
