Western Governors University and the National Black Chamber of Commerce Come Together to Empower Business Education
SALT LAKE CITY & WASHINGTON D.C., OCTOBER 7, 2024 — Western Governors University (WGU) and the National Black Chamber of Commerce (NBCC) are working together to support business education and foster economic empowerment through NBCC’s new Global Technical Assistance Program (GTAP). This initiative is designed to assist 100,000 businesses globally in enhancing their business processes and achieving greater success.
The National Black Chamber of Commerce is partnering with WGU — GTAP's preferred education provider — to offer WGU's educational resources, including online courses, degree programs and certificate offerings, to drive the initiative’s success. WGU will also participate in and sponsor a series of events across seven key cities. These events will offer invaluable insights from business leaders and feature content on topics such as business education, financial literacy, web development, IT basics and quality assurance.
“This partnership with the National Black Chamber of Commerce perfectly aligns with our commitment to advancing business education at scale,” said Dr. K.L. Allen, Northeast regional vice president at Western Governors University. “We are excited to contribute our resources to support the Global Technical Assistance Program and foster accessible, high-quality education that drives the growth of Black business leaders.”
This collaboration emphasizes WGU’s commitment to economic empowerment through education and entrepreneurship, benefitting NBCC constituents and the broader business community.
